This interesting guide defines terms, lays down models and walks you through the strategies that can be found in such books as The Art of War. The things discussed in this book are very straightforward and analytical. Though technical in its content, any layman can follow these strategies.
I can definitely see how the author of this book is a successful business man. when people nowadays think of business strategies they usually do not think of The Art of War. But this author has utilized this text for the modern world of business in a very creative and fantastic way.
This is a rather short read but it is nonetheless jam-packed with information that could be pure gold for people in the business world. This is definitely a book to read over and over again.

Well, I am going to have to be honest in this review. When I found out that this book was associated with the military, I got nervous all over because I for one am not a person you’d expect to have anything to do with that part of the U.S. government. But since this was mandatory, I decided to give it a try and give it my most non-pretentious reaction/recommendation afterwards. And there are highs and lows about it but let me remind you this is because I am biased. So I will forget the negatives and go with the positives and here are they

I found out from this book some practices in the military. I also found out that you can apply these methods and mindsets in growing or starting your business. This is why it is so for those who were and are serving in the armed forces who are expecting to delve into the business world later on in their lives. I know that this book provides such in-depth and easy-to-follow ideas that suits every reading level out there. I am happy myself that I was given this book in the first place to review because I may need it when I am down and serious about how to provide my services when I know that the time is right. It may not be tomorrow but I am positive that I will apply these methods in this book to my life when and if I get a chance at starting a business. As you know by now, this book reviewing service that I am doing for this book may and can spin-off into a moneymaking business (not the book reviewing but something kind of similar like freelance copywriting and proofreading. I mean, who knows, right?
Another positive about this book I’d like to discuss are the valuable lessons from an ancient Chinese military strategist by the name of Sun Tzu that really in my opinion are relatable and are easy-to-adapt to. These are some of his teachings that M.D. White the author of this book cites as the ultimate mastermind behind the military-to-business model

Lastly, one thing about this book of M.D. White’s that I came to appreciate was the way he listed some companies who came up with lucrative original ideas but lost to those companies who took their ideas and added their own spice to them and amassed great fortunes with them. I was amazed at some of the failure companies mentioned because that really sucks when it was your idea in the first place but you did not make money with it whereas those who may have taken (stole) it from you have gone on to become rich with it. Oh well, once again, I had to remind myself that that’s how life is.

As a final thought to all this, those people who are retirees from the military and those who have had some involvement in the military for a short time, this book is for you. You know about the principles and strategies of the military and combine those with the ideas from Sun Tzu that M.D. White lays down in here, you may go on to become a successful businessman or woman. I am glad that I have this book in my kindle for future reference. So this is definitely a great Christmas gift idea for that soldier in your family who has mentioned something about starting his or her own business when he or she retires from the armed forces OR this is a fantastic gift for that non-serving but soldier at heart individual you know and love.
